May 2 // Summit UniServe Building (201 43 Ave SE, Puyallup, WA 98374) // 9am-1pm
Come celebrate being Members of the Evergreen Orff Chapter and the quickly approaching end of the school year!
Get some hands on experience on how to maintain your barred instrumentarium year to year. Best practices for cleaning/polishing/keeping your instruments looking bright and shiny, as well as some basic peg and tubing replacement. We will also be sharing some resources from the amazing Margaret Swain (of Mad Robin Music) to use whenever you need a reminder.
We will also give a rundown of everything Margaret recommends to have in your very own repair and maintenance kit (with potential to win your very own starter kit).
Finally, we will end the day with a jam session! Using the Volumes, works from Walt Hampton, Jon Madin, and others, let’s make music together! You’ll get a tutorial of how to approach these more advanced pieces for intermediate students, as well as how to share some simpler pieces with primary kids.
Come celebrate the 25-26 school year with us!
*NOTE: Notes will be given electronically 24 hours prior to the workshop. If you would like EOC to print your notes, there will be a $5.00 charge which can be paid leading up to the workshop or on the day of as long as we still have notes available.
For walk ins and late registration, an additional $10 fee will be charged for members and non members.
